Date: 3 October
Time: SA time 11am – 1.30pm, UK time 10am – 12.30pm
Have a bit of virtual literary fun with All About Writing and a community of fellow writers when we present our online Saturday Writing Workshop. It will be of equal benefit to more experienced writers wanting to augment their skills, and to those with no experience at all, who are looking for a place to start.
To keep our spirits up in this time of crisis, All About Writing is running a virtual workshop on Saturday 3 October.
We hope it will foster a sense of global community through creative action.
Our workshop will break your sense of isolation by introducing you to writers from around the world. Through video conferencing, you’ll be involved in a brief discussion on an aspect of writing, given a prompt and the chance to write.
Places will be extremely limited, so each participant (who wants it) will receive feedback on their writing.
Workshops will be conducted in a spirit of fun, by people who find joy in creative endeavour. This will be a safe space for like-minded people to practise their creativity. All comment will be – according to our motto – honest but kind.
The Saturday Writing Workshop will be run on 11. UK time 10am – 12 noon. SA time 11am – 1pm.
We’ll run the workshop via Zoom and it will consist of:
- A brief discussion on an aspect of writing
- A writing prompt
- Writing time
- Participants will read out their writing and receive immediate feedback on it – or not if they aren’t keen
- Places will be limited to 12
- Facilitators Jo-Anne Richards and/or Richard Beynon
- Dates – 3 October. UK time 10am – 12 noon. SA time 11am – 1pm
